Staffan Malmgren has a background as a systems developer and entrepreneur since 1996, and started his law studies in 2005. He has primarily worked with issues concerning information management, e-government, data protection and legally compliant IT development.

Staffan has also been a lecturer at the Law School of the Stockholm University for a decade, including in courses on legal informatics and IT law.

In his spare time Staffan has developed Lagen.nu, a free legal database containing laws, prejudicial cases/decisions and preparatory works. The database also contains explanatory commentary for many laws and legal concepts.
