Martin Brinnen joins Kahn Pedersen

One of Sweden’s leading data protection experts, Martin Brinnen, joins Kahn Pedersen as a Senior Specialist. Martin joins us from the Swedish Data Protection Authority, where he has been a senior expert in the preparations for the upcoming General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Martin also has extensive experience from public committees and legislative work from participating as an expert in several public inquiries on free speech and use of government data (PSI). Martin has also been a lecturer in IT-law and media law in law schools for more than 20 years, and been a scholar in IT law related topic at the Institute of Information Technology at Stockholm University. Martin will do certain research and educational work outside of his role at Kahn Pedersen. “The recruitment of Martin reaffirms Kahn Pedersen’s position as one of the leading legal advisors for qualified data protection issues. We believe that the demand for qualified data protection legal advice will increase further when all GPPR-readiness projects have been completed. Right now the market for legal advice within data protection matters is diversified, where only a very limited number of advisors have the requisite knowledge and experience to advise on the really important strategic issues”, says Johan Kahn, partner with Kahn Pedersen. “We are delighted and proud that Martin has chosen to join our practice. This confirms that our highly specialized legal practice is capable to attract the best lawyers on the market”, says Daniel Lundqvist, partner with Kahn Pedersen.
