The legislative proposal of the Welfare committee may be in conflict with the EU law

The legislative proposal of the Welfare committee, to set a limit for profits for private companies in the welfare sectors in Sweden, may be in conflict with the Swedish constitution, the European Convention on Human Rights and EU law. This is the conclusion in an article by Kristian Pedersen and three other Swedish lawyers in Sweden’s leading business newspaper, Dagens Industri. The other authors of the article are Bengt Ivarsson, chairman of the board of the Swedish Bar Association, Eva-Maj Mühlenbock, member of the board of the Swedish Bar Association, and Carl Svernlöv, adjunct professor.
